A decadent twist on traditional banana bread, this double chocolate banana bread is rich, moist, and loaded with chocolatey goodness. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet snack!

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, mix together mashed bananas, melted butter, Greek yogurt, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra moisture, you can add an additional 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt.
- To make the bread even more decadent, sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on top before baking.
