These decadent doughnuts feature a sweet and tangy balsamic blueberry filling paired with creamy cheesecake, all encased in a warm, crispy doughnut. The combination of flavors will surprise and delight your taste buds!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Prepare the blueberry filling: In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, balsamic vinegar, and sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries burst and the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Make the cheesecake filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Assemble the doughnuts: Roll out the biscuit dough on a floured surface and cut it into rounds using a biscuit cutter.
  • Fill the doughnuts: Place a spoonful of the cheesecake mixture onto half of the dough rounds, then top with a spoonful of the cooled blueberry mixture. Place another dough round on top and press the edges together to seal.
  • Fry the doughnuts: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the doughnuts in batches, turning them occasionally, until golden brown on both sides. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
