Description
These Easy Air Fryer French Fries are crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. Made with just a few ingredients, they’re a healthier alternative to traditional fried fries, while still giving you that crispy, satisfying crunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb russet potatoes (2 large or 3 medium potatoes)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes (if preferred). Cut them into thin strips, approximately 1/4-inch thick, for the best texture.
- Place the cut potatoes in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss them to coat evenly.
- Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss again until the potatoes are well-seasoned.
- Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crisping.
- Once golden and crispy, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, you can soak the cut potatoes in water for 30 minutes before cooking to remove excess starch.
- Adjust the seasoning based on your preference. You can add more garlic powder or even experiment with other spices.
- For a dip, serve with ketchup, ranch, or your favorite sauce.
