The combination of soy, oyster, and hoisin sauces, along with sesame oil, makes for an irresistible meal that’s quick and easy to prepare. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or when you’re craving takeout!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add flank steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add garlic, bell pepper, and snow peas. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the sauce mixture and cooked noodles. Toss everything together until well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, you can add a dash of chili paste or red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute the flank steak with another cut of beef, such as sirloin, or use chicken if preferred.
  • The sauce can be adjusted to your taste by adding more hoisin sauce for sweetness or soy sauce for saltiness.
