Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese

  • 3 large eggs, separated

  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar (optional, for slight sweetness)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

  • In a separate bowl, blend cottage cheese, egg yolks, baking powder, salt, garlic powder (if using), and honey or sugar (if using) until smooth.

  • Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cottage cheese mixture, being careful not to deflate the batter.

  • Spoon the mixture into rounds on the prepared baking sheet (about 1/4 cup per round).

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden and set.

  • Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the baking sheet. Serve warm or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Use a food processor or immersion blender for a smoother texture.

  • Garlic powder adds a savory flavor but can be omitted for a more neutral taste.

  • These are best eaten fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator and lightly toasted before serving.
