Description

These French Onion Soup Burgers are a savory and indulgent twist on a classic burger. Infused with the rich flavors of French onion soup mix and topped with melted Swiss cheese, these juicy patties are perfect for anyone craving a comforting and flavorful burger experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, dry onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, egg, and beef broth until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Grill or cook the patties in a skillet over medium-high heat until cooked to your desired level of doneness (about 5-7 minutes per side for medium).
  • Top each patty with a slice of Swiss cheese and allow it to melt.
  • Serve the patties on hamburger buns.

Notes

  • You can add caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms as extra toppings for more flavor.
  • For a lighter option, serve on a lettuce wrap instead of a bun.
  • If you prefer a stronger onion flavor, use a bit of onion powder or freshly sautéed onions in the patty mix.
