Garlic Butter Baked Scallops

Tender scallops baked in a rich garlic butter sauce, topped with crispy breadcrumbs and Parmesan, perfect for an elegant dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large sea scallops
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Arrange the scallops in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the scallops.
  • In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Sprinkle this mixture over the scallops.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and the breadcrumb topping is golden brown.
  • Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
