Description

Garlic Butter Baked Scallops are a delightful seafood dish that combines the rich flavors of butter, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. This easy recipe makes for an elegant appetizer or a delicious main course, perfect for special occasions or a cozy dinner at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh sea scallops
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the scallops in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
  • Season the scallops with salt and pepper, then spoon the garlic butter mixture over the scallops.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and cooked through, and the topping is golden brown.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a squeeze of lemon juice over the scallops before serving.
  • You can substitute the breadcrumbs with panko for an extra crunch.
  • If you prefer, broil the scallops for the last 2-3 minutes to get a golden, crispy top.
