- 1 cup shredded coconut

Instructions
- Prepare the Cake: Prepare and bake the German chocolate cake according to package directions.
- Poke the Cake: While the cake is still warm, poke holes all over the top using the back of a wooden spoon.
- Add Sweetened Condensed Milk: Pour sweetened condensed milk over the top, allowing it to fill the holes.
- Add Caramel Topping: Repeat with caramel topping, letting it soak into the holes.
- Top with Whipped Topping: Spread whipped topping over the top of the cake.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped pecans on top.
- Refrigerate: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to set.
