Delight in these soft, fluffy donuts with a sweet maple glaze and crunchy pecans. Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon treat, these homemade donuts are simple to make and bursting with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in milk, egg, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  • Fold in chopped pecans.
  • Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe into the prepared donut pan.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and powdered sugar to make the glaze.
  • Dip each donut into the glaze and let set before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add extra pecans to the glaze.
