- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, sliced thin
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a round baking dish with olive oil.
- Layer Potatoes: Arrange the potato slices in the baking dish, overlapping them slightly.
- Add Seasoning: Drizzle half of the balsamic vinegar and olive oil over the first layer of potatoes. Sprinkle with half of the thyme leaves, salt, and pepper.
- Repeat Layers: Add another layer of potatoes and repeat with the remaining balsamic vinegar, olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy on top.
- Cool and Serve: Let the torte cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can incorporate some grated Parmesan cheese between the layers.
