These Greek chicken meatballs are tender, flavorful, and paired with a refreshing homemade tzatziki sauce. Packed with herbs, feta, and a perfect blend of spices, this dish is a healthier twist on a Mediterranean classic. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or meal prep!

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 1 egg

For the Tzatziki:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, salt, pepper, feta cheese, parsley, mint, and egg until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
  • While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki by mixing together Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Serve the Greek chicken meatballs with the homemade tzatziki on the side.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for chicken if preferred.
  • For a creamier tzatziki, add a little more Greek yogurt to your liking.
  • Meatballs can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
