Description

These Grilled Baked Potatoes are a delicious and simple side dish with a crispy skin and fluffy interior, enhanced by the rich flavors of melted butter, garlic, and seasonings. Perfectly grilled to achieve a smoky flavor, they make an excellent accompaniment to any meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 small russet potatoes

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons coarse salt

  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder

  • ½ tablespoon ground pepper


Instructions

  • Prepare the Potatoes:

    • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

    • Scrub the potatoes clean and dry them with a towel.

    • Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape while cooking.

  • Season the Potatoes:

    • Brush each potato with the melted butter, ensuring they are evenly coated.

    • Sprinkle with coarse salt, garlic powder, and ground pepper on all sides.

  • Grill the Potatoes:

    • Place the potatoes directly on the grill.

    • Grill the potatoes for about 30–40 minutes, turning them occasionally until the skin is crispy and the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.

 

  • Serve:

    • Remove the potatoes from the grill. Allow them to cool for a few minutes before cutting them open.

    • Optional: Top with sour cream, chives, or cheese for an extra flavor boost.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can wrap the potatoes in aluminum foil before grilling for a softer skin.
