- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grill patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of grilling.
- Spread butter on the insides of the hamburger buns and grill for 1-2 minutes, until toasted.
- Assemble burgers by placing patties on the buns and serve hot.

- You can add other toppings such as lettuce, tomato, or pickles to customize your burger.
- For a richer flavor, try using different types of cheese such as Swiss or American.
