- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade: In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne, black pepper, ginger, and salt. Stir in the chicken pieces until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill: Preheat the grill to high heat.
- Grill the chicken: Lightly oil the grill grate. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and discard any leftover marinade. Grill the chicken until the juices run clear, about 5 minutes on each side.
Notes
- For an even richer flavor, marinate the chicken for longer than 1 hour, ideally overnight.
- If you prefer, you can cook the chicken in the oven at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.
