14 ounces prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes

1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

1½ cups whole milk (or half & half)

1 cup sour cream

8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed

1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions

Prepare the Pudding Layer:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix, whole milk, and sour cream until smooth and thickened. Set aside.

Assemble the Cake:

In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the cubed angel food cake.

Spoon about 2/3 of the cherry pie filling over the cake layer.

Add the remaining angel food cake cubes on top.

Spread the vanilla pudding mixture evenly over the top layer of cake.

Spread the Cool Whip over the pudding layer as the final topping.
