This Heavenly Banana Walnut Cream Cake combines the sweetness of ripe bananas, the crunch of walnuts, and a soft, creamy texture in every bite. A perfect treat for banana lovers and anyone craving a moist, flavorful cake!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×9 inch pan.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually mix in the flour mixture alternately with the sour cream.
  • Gently fold in the walnuts and mashed bananas.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can top with a simple glaze or frosting if desired.
  • Make sure your bananas are fully ripe for the best flavor.
  • If you prefer, you can substitute the walnuts with another type of nut (e.g., pecans).
