Description

This delicious Hibachi steak recipe delivers juicy, tender pieces of steak cooked to perfection with a flavorful blend of soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and garlic. A quick and easy recipe that brings the flavors of Japanese hibachi grilling to your kitchen.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. boneless steak (sirloin or fillet), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
    For the Sauce:
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce or mirin
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the steak pieces to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, turning to brown on all sides.
  • If desired, add sesame oil for extra flavor, and continue cooking until the steak reaches your preferred level of doneness.
  • In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce (or mirin), and pepper.
  • Pour the sauce over the steak and stir to coat. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnished with additional pepper or sesame seeds if desired.
