Description
This Holiday Cranberry Jalapeño Cream Cheese Dip combines the perfect blend of sweet cranberries, spicy jalapeños, and creamy cheese for a festive and flavorful appetizer. With a balance of heat and tang, this dip is perfect for any holiday gathering, served with crackers, chips, or toasted bread.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh cranberries, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1–2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (adjust heat to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Prepare the Cranberry Mixture: In a food processor, pulse the cranberries a few times until coarsely chopped. Avoid over-processing; the mixture should be chunky, not pureed. Transfer the cranberries to a medium bowl. Add the sugar, green onions, jalapeños, cilantro, and lime juice. Stir until well combined. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Base: Spread the softened cream cheese evenly on a serving platter or shallow dish. Ensure the layer is smooth and about 1/2 inch thick.
- Assemble the Dip: Just before serving, spoon the cranberry mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer. Spread gently to avoid mixing the layers.
- Serve: Pair the dip with crackers, tortilla chips, or toasted baguette slices. This dip is a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors for any holiday gathering!
Notes
- Adjust the number of jalapeños based on your preferred level of spiciness.
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle extra cilantro or green onions on top just before serving.
