- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast

- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, softened

Instructions
- Heat the milk until warm, then add sugar and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes to activate the yeast.
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and softened butter. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface, then cover and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into donut shapes using a donut cutter.
- Let the donuts rise again for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C), and fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side).
- Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Coat the warm donuts in powdered sugar to finish.

- You can also dip the donuts in a glaze made with powdered sugar and milk for an extra sweet touch.
