- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup light corn syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Stir in melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk until well combined.
- Fold in pecans and pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix corn syrup and 1/3 cup sugar. Pour over the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set in the center.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- You can substitute dark corn syrup for a richer flavor.
- For a twist, add a handful of chocolate chips to the batter.
