This easy homemade pizza dough recipe is simple to make and perfect for creating delicious, restaurant-style pizza at home. With just a few ingredients, you can prepare dough that is soft, stretchy, and golden-brown when baked.
Ingredients

2–2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour OR bread flour (250-295g)

1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)

1 ½ teaspoons sugar

¾ teaspoon salt

⅛–¼ teaspoon garlic powder and/or dried basil leaves (optional)

2 Tablespoons olive oil + additional for greasing

¾ cup warm water (175ml)
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and optional garlic powder/basil.

Add the olive oil and warm water, stirring to combine until the dough starts to come together.

Gradually add more flour until the dough is soft but not sticky.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours or until it has doubled in size.

Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

You can substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.

Let the dough rise for a longer time (up to 2 hours) for a slightly tangy flavor.
