Description

These Honey Garlic Turkey Meatballs are tender, flavorful, and packed with a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Infused with warm spices and fresh herbs, then glazed with a sticky honey garlic sauce, they make a delicious and healthy meal or appetizer that’s sure to please.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey

  • ½ yellow onion, grated

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ¼ cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs (or regular panko)

  • ¼ cup minced flat-leaf parsley

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.

  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, grated onion, minced garlic, panko breadcrumbs, parsley, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix gently until combined—do not overwork the meat.

  • Shape mixture into 1 to 1½ inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.

  • While meatballs bake, whisk together honey and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.

  • Remove meatballs from oven and brush generously with the honey garlic glaze.

  • Return meatballs to the oven and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.

  • Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil meatballs for 1-2 minutes after glazing, watching carefully.

  • These meatballs pair well with rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables.

  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
