Description

These Honey Mustard Grilled Pork Chops are juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The tangy sweetness from the honey and apple cider vinegar, combined with the spice of mustard and cayenne, creates a perfect marinade for the pork chops. Grilled to perfection, this dish is a family favorite that pairs well with a variety of sides.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup pure honey

  • 3 tablespoons whole grain mustard (with seeds in it)

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • 4 pork chops, bone-in*, 1-inch thickness, 8-10 oz each

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, cornstarch, honey, whole grain mustard, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar.

  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

  • Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Place the pork chops in a shallow dish and pour half of the honey mustard sauce over them. Reserve the remaining sauce for serving.

  • Cover and marinate the pork chops in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  • Grill the pork chops for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  • Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Serve with the reserved honey mustard sauce drizzled over the top.

Notes

  • For best results, use bone-in pork chops as they tend to stay juicier.

  • If you prefer a spicier flavor, you can add more cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce to the marinade.

  • Serve with your favorite grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
