Description

A sweet and savory dish combining tender, seasoned chicken breasts with a creamy, peppery sauce and perfectly cooked penne pasta. This easy-to-make meal is sure to be a family favorite, featuring a delightful balance of honey, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 12 oz penne pasta (or your preferred pasta)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and let them rest. Slice the chicken into strips once rested.

  • Cook the Pasta: Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add honey and black pepper, stirring to combine. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.

  • Combine: Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Let everything heat through.

  • Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of black pepper based on your preferred spice level.
  • You can substitute penne pasta with other pasta varieties like fettuccine or spaghetti if desired.
