This irresistible olive oil bread dip combines a blend of aromatic herbs and spices with extra virgin olive oil to create the perfect accompaniment for crusty bread or a fresh baguette. A simple yet flavorful appetizer that’s ready in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried sage

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, black pepper, salt, red pepper flakes, thyme, rosemary, and sage.
  • Mix well until all the herbs and spices are evenly distributed.
  • Let the dip sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve with your favorite crusty bread or baguette.

Notes

  • This dip can be made in advance and stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
  • For added richness, you can drizzle the dip over a slice of toasted bread.
