Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 pound sliced salami
  • 1/2 pound sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 pound sliced ham
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare Dough:
    • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 10×14 inches.
  • Layer Fillings:
    • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
    • Evenly layer the salami, pepperoni, and ham over the sauce.
    • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the meats.
    • Season with dried oregano, dried basil, and garlic powder.
  • Roll and Seal:
    • Starting from one of the long edges, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
    • Pinch the seams and ends to seal the stromboli completely.
  • Apply Egg Wash:
    • Transfer the stromboli to the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
    • Brush the top and sides with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
  • Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Serve:
    • Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Slice the stromboli into 1-inch pieces and serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables or substitute the meats based on your preference.
  • For a crispier crust, you can bake the stromboli on a pizza stone if you have one.
