  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • Fresh lemon wedges (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  • Mix the Seasoning:
    • In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Season the Chicken:
    • Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken pieces, ensuring they are well-coated.

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy and golden brown.

Notes

For extra juiciness, you can brine the chicken in a solution of water and salt for 30 minutes before seasoning. Adjust the seasoning to your taste and experiment with your favorite herbs and spices.
