  • 1 box yellow cake mix (prepared as directed)
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch pan and prepare the cake mix as directed on the box.
  • In a saucepan, combine crushed pineapple, sugar, and melted butter. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Pour the pineapple mixture over the prepared cake batter in the pan.
