Description

A southern classic, Kentucky Sawdust Pie features a sweet, nutty filling of sugar, coconut, graham crackers, and pecans in a buttery pie crust. It’s a deliciously unique pie that’s sure to be a hit at any gathering!


Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (unbaked)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a pie pan with the unbaked pie crust.
  • In a large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, coconut, graham cracker crumbs, and pecans.
  • Stir in the beaten eggs and melted butter until the mixture is well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the pie is golden brown and set in the center.
  • Allow the pie to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes
