These juicy and flavorful Lebanese-style turkey kebabs, made with ground turkey and aromatic spices, are served with a rich and creamy tahini sauce. Perfect for a healthy meal, these kebabs offer a delicious Middle Eastern twist on a classic.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Wooden skewers

For the Tahini Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Kebab Mixture: In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, grated onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  • Shape the Kebabs: Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them onto wooden skewers.
  • Cook the Kebabs: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
  • Make the Tahini Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, water, lemon juice, garlic, and salt to make the sauce.
  • Serve: Serve the kebabs hot with the tahini sauce on the side.

Notes

  • You can serve the kebabs with pita bread, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
  • If you prefer a spicier sauce, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the tahini sauce.
