These Lemon Cream Cheese Bars combine the tartness of fresh lemon with the smooth richness of cream cheese in a delectable dessert that’s both refreshing and indulgent. Perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough, divided
  • 2 lemons, zested and juiced, divided
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Unroll one package of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup white sugar, butter, and the zest and juice from one lemon until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough.
  • Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough and layer it over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 3 tablespoons of sugar and the zest of the second lemon on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let the bars cool before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense lemon flavor, you can add extra lemon zest or juice to the cream cheese mixture.
