- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 apple, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, and milk until well combined.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, gently folding in the diced apples until just mixed.
- Spoon the batter into the muffin liners, filling each about two-thirds full, and drizzle caramel sauce over the top of each muffin.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For an extra touch, sprinkle a little brown sugar on top before baking for a sweet, crunchy topping.
- These muffins are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
