Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients and milk alternately until combined.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes

Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm or at room temperature.
