- For the donuts:
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1–2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Spoon batter into the donut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Allow donuts to cool slightly before removing from the pan.
- To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth.
- Dip each donut into the glaze and let set before serving.
Notes
- Make sure not to overmix the batter to keep the donuts light and fluffy.
- If you don’t have a donut pan, you can bake these in a muffin pan instead.
- For a thicker glaze, reduce the amount of milk, or add more powdered sugar if needed.
