Description

These warm and spiced Maple Glazed Pumpkin Donuts are the perfect fall treat. With the rich flavor of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a sweet maple glaze, these soft, cake-like donuts are irresistible. A great way to enjoy autumn flavors in a fun, baked donut form!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the donuts:
    • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
    • 1/2 tsp allspice
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 1/4 cup melted butter
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tbsp maple syrup
    • 12 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a donut pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  • In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  • Spoon batter into the donut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Allow donuts to cool slightly before removing from the pan.
  • To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth.
  • Dip each donut into the glaze and let set before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure not to overmix the batter to keep the donuts light and fluffy.
  • If you don’t have a donut pan, you can bake these in a muffin pan instead.
  • For a thicker glaze, reduce the amount of milk, or add more powdered sugar if needed.
