- 1 lb meat, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 3 scotch bonnet peppers, chopped
- 2 tbsp ground crayfish
- 1 tbsp dried fish
- 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 cups water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in meat cubes and brown on all sides.
- Add water, bell peppers, scotch bonnet peppers, ground crayfish, dried fish, cayenne pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes, or until meat is tender.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the level of scotch bonnet peppers according to your spice tolerance.
- You can use any type of meat, but beef or goat meat works best for this recipe.
- For extra depth of flavor, you can add a few more spices like thyme or ginger.
