Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 can cream-style corn
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green chilies

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Stir in cream-style corn, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  • Fold in cheddar cheese and green chilies.
  • Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
