- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
- 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (16 ounce) package corn chips
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink. Drain off excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning mix and chili beans. Simmer for a few minutes to combine the flavors.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the following: start with a layer of corn chips, then add a layer of the meat mixture, followed by a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly.
- Top with sour cream and salsa before serving for added flavor.
Notes
- You can add some diced onions, jalapeños, or bell peppers to the beef mixture for extra flavor and crunch.
- This dish is great for a casual dinner, and you can easily double the recipe for a larger crowd.
