Description

These soft, pillowy milk brioche rolls are perfectly sweet and buttery, with a light, airy texture. Ideal for any meal, these rolls make a great accompaniment to soups, stews, or as a stand-alone treat. Serve them warm for a truly indulgent experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the flour, salt, eggs, and butter until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Punch down the dough and divide it into rolls.
  • Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover, and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra softness, you can brush the rolls with melted butter immediately after baking.
  • You can make the dough ahead of time and let it rise in the fridge overnight for even more flavor.
  • These rolls are versatile and can be served with both savory and sweet dishes.
