Description

These light and airy cream puffs are filled with a rich, sweetened whipped cream, making them the perfect indulgent treat. Golden brown on the outside and deliciously creamy on the inside, these homemade cream puffs will be a hit with your family and friends!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan, bring the water and butter to a boil. Stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
  • Transfer the dough mixture to a mixing bowl. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up. Allow to cool.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Cut the cooled cream puffs in half and fill each with whipped cream. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure the cream puffs are completely cooled before filling to avoid the whipped cream melting.
  • You can use vanilla or almond extract in the whipped cream for a flavor twist.
  • Cream puffs are best served the day they are made, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 day.
