Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, bring the water and butter to a boil. Stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
- Transfer the dough mixture to a mixing bowl. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up. Allow to cool.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Cut the cooled cream puffs in half and fill each with whipped cream. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Make sure the cream puffs are completely cooled before filling to avoid the whipped cream melting.
- You can use vanilla or almond extract in the whipped cream for a flavor twist.
- Cream puffs are best served the day they are made, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 day.
