Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, these homemade Mozzarella Sticks are the perfect snack or appetizer. Coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and baked to perfection, they’re served with a side of marinara sauce for the ultimate dipping experience!


Ingredients

  • 8 sticks mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks.
  • In one bowl, beat the eggs.
  • In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning.
  • Dip each mozzarella stick into the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Bake the mozzarella sticks for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Freezing the mozzarella sticks is essential to prevent the cheese from melting too quickly during baking.
  • You can add a little garlic powder or paprika to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
  • For a crispier texture, you can also deep fry the mozzarella sticks if you prefer.
