- 8 sticks mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks.
- In one bowl, beat the eggs.
- In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning.
- Dip each mozzarella stick into the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake the mozzarella sticks for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Freezing the mozzarella sticks is essential to prevent the cheese from melting too quickly during baking.
- You can add a little garlic powder or paprika to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
- For a crispier texture, you can also deep fry the mozzarella sticks if you prefer.
