Description

These Peanut Butter Brownies are a decadent treat that combines the rich flavor of chocolate brownies with the creamy, nutty goodness of peanut butter. Fudgy, chewy, and with just the right amount of sweetness, they’re the perfect dessert for peanut butter lovers. The slightly warmed peanut butter creates a beautiful swirl effect, giving each bite a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (slightly warmed for easy swirling)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
  • Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the wet ingredients. Stir until everything is well combined, forming a thick brownie batter.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  • Gently warm the peanut butter in the microwave for 15-20 seconds so it’s easy to swirl. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter over the brownie batter.
  • Use a knife or skewer to swirl the peanut butter into the brownie batter, creating a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For an extra peanut butter punch, feel free to add some chopped peanut butter cups or peanut butter chips to the brownie batter.
  • These brownies can be stored at room temperature for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container.
  • If you prefer a fudgier texture, you can reduce the baking time by a few minutes.
