- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and peanut butter until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Add flour and baking powder to the wet mixture, mixing until mostly combined, with a few white streaks remaining.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips, reserving some for topping if desired.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. If reserved, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top. Bake for 22-25 minutes until the top is dry and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow to cool completely in the pan. Slice into squares and serve.
