Indulge in the rich, nutty flavor of these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Blondies. With a perfect balance of sweet and salty, these treats are a delightful dessert that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and peanut butter until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Add flour and baking powder to the wet mixture, mixing until mostly combined, with a few white streaks remaining.
  • Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips, reserving some for topping if desired.
  • Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. If reserved, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top. Bake for 22-25 minutes until the top is dry and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  • Cool and Serve: Allow to cool completely in the pan. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Best Peanut Butter: Use commercial creamy peanut butter like Skippy or Jif for optimal texture.
  • Freezing: Blondies can be frozen for up to 4 months in an airtight container.
