Description

Pecan Pie Lasagna is a no-bake, layered dessert that combines the rich, nutty flavor of pecan pie with a creamy, whipped cream and cream cheese filling. With its sweet layers of vanilla wafers, pecans, and caramelized brown sugar, this dessert is sure to be a crowd favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup of pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base: Crush the vanilla wafers and spread them evenly on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Cook the Pecan Mixture: In a saucepan, combine the pecans, brown sugar, and butter. Cook over medium heat until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.
  • Layer the Pecan Mixture: Pour the pecan mixture over the crushed vanilla wafers in the baking dish.
  • Whip the Cream: In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In another mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
  • Layer the Cream Cheese Mixture: Spread the cream cheese mixture over the pecan layer in the baking dish.
  • Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.

Notes

  • You can garnish the top with extra chopped pecans or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an added touch.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance for convenience and better flavor blending.
  • If you prefer a crunchier base, you can toast the pecans lightly before adding them to the brown sugar mixture.
