Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Crush the vanilla wafers and spread them evenly on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook the Pecan Mixture: In a saucepan, combine the pecans, brown sugar, and butter. Cook over medium heat until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.
- Layer the Pecan Mixture: Pour the pecan mixture over the crushed vanilla wafers in the baking dish.
- Whip the Cream: In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In another mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
- Layer the Cream Cheese Mixture: Spread the cream cheese mixture over the pecan layer in the baking dish.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.

- You can garnish the top with extra chopped pecans or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an added touch.
