  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream Butter and Sugars:
    In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add Vanilla and Dry Ingredients:
    Add in the vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in Pecans:
    Fold in the chopped pecans, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Shape and Flatten:
    Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, place them on the prepared baking sheet, and gently flatten each ball with the palm of your hand.
  • Bake:
    Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
