A creamy, cheesy stovetop macaroni & cheese made with pepper jack cheese for an extra kick. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a comforting meal in just 20 minutes!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted.
  • Add the shredded pepper jack cheese to the saucepan and stir until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well coated.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a creamier texture, you can add a splash more milk if the sauce thickens too much. You can also use a mix of cheeses, like cheddar or Monterey Jack, if preferred.
