Description

This Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread is the ultimate comfort food, combining the savory flavors of ribeye steak, melted provolone, and sautéed vegetables on a crispy garlic bread base. It’s a quick and delicious take on the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1 loaf French bread, cut in half lengthwise
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • In a skillet, cook the steak over medium-high heat until browned. Add the bell pepper and onion, cooking until softened.
  • Place the French bread on a baking sheet. Spread butter and minced garlic on each half.
  • Top with the steak, bell pepper, and onion mixture. Cover with provolone cheese slices.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, you can add hot peppers or jalapeños.
  • You can substitute the provolone cheese with American or mozzarella cheese for a different flavor.
  • If you prefer a crispier crust, toast the bread in the oven for a few minutes before adding the toppings.
