Description

Philly Steak Cheese Fries are the perfect fusion of crispy French fries, savory seared ribeye steak, sautéed vegetables, and gooey melted cheese. This dish is a fantastic snack, appetizer, or indulgent treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen French fries
  • 1/2 lb ribeye steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: Cheese sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  • Cook the Fries: Prepare the French fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  • Sear the Steak: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the onions and bell peppers. Cook until softened and slightly caramelized (about 5 minutes).
  • Assemble the Fries: Place the cooked fries on a serving platter or baking sheet. Top with the sautéed steak, onions, and peppers.
  • Add the Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and place in the oven under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve: Drizzle with cheese sauce if desired, and serve hot! Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or game-day treat. Enjoy the ultimate fusion of crispy fries and classic Philly cheesesteak flavors!

Notes

  • Feel free to add additional toppings such as sautéed mushrooms or hot peppers for extra flavor.
  • If you want extra cheese, use both provolone and mozzarella for a creamy and stretchy texture.
  • If you prefer a healthier version, you can opt for baked fries instead of fried ones.
