Description

This easy and quick pizza dough recipe ensures a soft, chewy crust perfect for any topping you desire. Made with simple ingredients like bread flour, olive oil, and yeast, it guarantees an authentic pizza experience right at home!


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant/rapid rise yeast (or active dry yeast)
  • 3 cups bread flour (or pizza flour, all-purpose flour also works)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  • Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Punch the dough down and divide it into portions for individual pizzas (this recipe makes about 2 medium pizzas).
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Add your favorite pizza toppings and bake at 475°F (245°C) for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.

Notes

  • If using active dry yeast, dissolve it in the warm water with the sugar before adding it to the flour mixture.
  • For the best texture, use bread flour or pizza flour, but all-purpose flour works in a pinch.
  • This dough can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. Just let it come to room temperature before rolling it out.
