Description

This easy and comforting Pork of Tricolored Pasta features tri-color rotini pasta topped with a savory ground pork marinara sauce. The hearty pork, combined with garlic, onion, and marinara, creates a delicious meal that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner. Finished with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, this dish is a family favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound tri-color rotini pasta
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (about 24 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for topping

Instructions

  • Cook the tri-color rotini pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet.
  • Add the ground pork to the skillet, along with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the pork is browned and fully cooked through.
  • Pour the marinara sauce into the skillet with the cooked pork. Stir to combine, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the pork marinara sauce over the cooked rotini pasta.
  • Top each serving with a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • You can swap out the tri-color rotini for any pasta shape you prefer. Penne, spaghetti, or rigatoni would work well.
  • For a spicier version, add some red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
  • For extra richness, add a dollop of ricotta cheese on top of each serving.
